Abseiling, otherwise known as access by rope painting, is very popular for properties built up to the boundary within the City of Sydney or other high density areas. Often this is the only feasible option for painting a building’s exterior in these areas.
Council fees often make the use of scaffolding or a boom lift on council land absolutely unreasonable. We have seen projects where a medium three to four story blocks of 20 units that would cost $30,000-40,000 to paint would attract over $250,000 in council charges, and engineer, arborist, traffic control and other consultant’s fees. Painting by abseiling can be done at a fraction of this cost.
We have an experienced staff that can deliver quality painting fast, even for the most complex projects. We can also install anchor points for abseiling access on a roof. Most of our clients prefer to leave anchor paint in place after painting is done. They can be re-used for a future painting, façade or window cleaning or other facade works, so clients can be safe for future work accessed by rope.
Ol’Painting will tell you if abseiling would be better and cheaper for your job. We will work with you to find the most feasible way to do your project.
